08.06.2012 – Participation at the Social Responsibility Conference
As a result of its active and long-lasting engagement in the social responsibility activities, Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje, as an exemplar company, was invited to participate at the regional conference “Development of Corporate Social Responsibility - Challenges and Practices in the Region” held on June 5, 2012, in Tirana, Republic of Albania. The conference was organized by the NGO partners Albania, with the financial support of the East East Beyond Borders Program and the Foundation Open Society – Macedonia.
The representatives of the companies, public sector, NGOs and media from Macedonia, Albania and Montenegro were brought together in a public debate on developing a long-term cooperation between the corporate sector, local authorities, NGOs and local communities. The debate focus was on the role of the business companies, the role of the governments as leaders for improved management of the promotion of companies’ social responsibility, as well as the role of the media in responsible covering of the issues related to the environment and social responsibility, which may have strong impact on the social responsibility of the companies.
Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje was the only representative of the companies from the Republic of Macedonia. The Bank had, before the colleagues from Montenegro and Albania, presented the projects it is very much proud of, such as its cooperation with the Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia, Macedonian platform for fight against poverty and work with women victims of domestic violence, the support of the Centre for sheltering and education of street children, the project for socialization of generations (clients and pensioners), cooperation with the National Council for Equality, donations and savings accounts for the newborns, cooperation with the universities in the country, other donations, etc.
The discussions and presentations led to the conclusion that both, the Republic of Macedonia and Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje individually, may be proud for their social responsibility engagements and arrangements, either in the domain of the law regulations regarding the sponsorships and donations, national social responsibility bodies or the highly developed awareness of the companies for the problems in the society.

13.05.2013 - Komercijalna Banka is the 9th time award winner from EBRD
At the ceremony, organized by the Trade Finance Forum in Istanbul, representatives of Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje received the award for Support to foreign trade and promotion of international trade.
The prize is awarded annually and is related to the volume and quality of letters of credit and letters of guarantee issued by Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje. Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje is the 9th time winner of this award and is the most active participant in the program of EBRD TFP (Trade Facilitation Programme) for promotion of international trade of the Republic of Macedonia.
13.05.2013 - Komercijalna banka - Winner of Plaque
Komercijalna banka AD Skopje as an authorized participant in the Macedonian securities market, is pleased to announce that during the “Annual conference of the Macedonian securities market 2013”, organized by the Macedonian Stock Exchange, Central Securities Depository and the Securities Exchange Commission of the Republic of Macedonia was awarded the Plaque for achieving first place in turnover and number of transactions carried out in 2012.
