Question: How can I get statement of account for my Maestro card?
Answer: Statement of denar and FX account related to Maestro debit card may be obtained at the counters of Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje at its city-branches.
You may use the Internet Banking service in order to monitor the statement of and turnover on your account. For that purpose you should apply for internet access username and password at any of the Bank’s city-branches.
Question: When I insert my Maestro debit card in the ATM it shows that there is certain amount of money on my account but when I try to withdraw certain amount it shows that the limit is exceeded.
Answer: Maestro credit cards have daily limits for withdrawing imposed for the purpose of security. Please contact the Authorization Center at 3107-310 and check your daily limit. Authorization Center is available 24 hours a day.
Question: My question refers to debit cards or whether your Bank issues debit cards to students (part-time students) and what are the conditions, the limit and the interest rates?
Answer: Maestro debit cards may be issued to any individual being citizen of the Republic of Macedonia. The debit cards are issued against filled in Maesrto debit card application form accompanied by copy of client’s ID card and passport. There is no credit limit approved to debit cards. The client may use as much funds as it has available for.
Question: I would like to apply for MasterCard credit card. I would like to be explained some of these issues. If I have 30.000 denars balance on my MasterCard credit card account and I want to buy DVD+TV set that would cost about 15.000 denars but to pay for it in several installments. Does it mean that the Bank shall debit my account for the whole amount of 15.000 denars or only the installment amount? I would also like to use the Internet Banking option and would like to know whether I can use the same card?
Answer: When using the MasterCard Revolving credit card you have the obligation to repay 10% of the total amount spent during the month. For the example you have mentioned, if you have credit limit of 30.000 denars approved on your MasterCard Revolving credit card account and you have spent 15.000 denars, the whole amount shall be recorded on your account but you have an obligation to repay 1.500 denars up to the 12th day in the following month (being the interest free period). You may also use this card for Internet Banking transactions.
Question: Can I send money from England on a card, are there any charges and through which bank it is the most favorable to realize the transaction?
Answer: The way of executing the payment of money depends on the type of the card. No fees are charged for inflows. As for banks, in general it is not important from which bank you will send the money, and for your information note that Komercijalna Banka has established cooperation and holds accounts with NatWest and Barclays Bank. It is also required to posses a document (visa or alike) regarding regulated stay in England for a period longer than 6 months.
Question: Can I effect payments in installments with my “salary payment card” in the same way as with the checking account checks and is my checking account going to be valid together with my “salary payment card”?
Answer: You cannot pay in installments with your Maestro card (“salary payment card”), and as for the checking account, it shall continue to be valid together with the card. Payment in installments may be effected by MasterCard Revolving credit card, where the monthly payment liability to the beneficiary is 10% of the total spent amount (debt).
Question: What shall I do if I forget my PIN code?
Answer: In case the cardholder is unable to recall his/her PIN code, he/she should apply for new PIN code at any of the counters of Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje. The Bank shall charge MKD 118.00 for new PIN code on Maestro or MKD 236 for new PIN code on MasterCard card.
Question: Is the Bank going to install any ATM in Madzari suburb, since we have to go to the closest Bank’s ATM in Avtokomanda suburb?
Answer: The Bank is planning to install an ATM in Madzari suburb by the end of the first quarter in 2007.
Question: I have access to my checking and giro accounts through two different passwords through Internet. Now I have a Maestro card account but cannot access it through neither of the two passwords. I applied for another password and was told to access through the other passwords I already have but still I cannot do that. What is the problem?
Answer: You can use the same username you have been issued for your checking account to monitor the statement of all other accounts opened in your name with the Bank. In this case you should contact out Technical Support Unit at 3107-314 and solve this actual problem.
Question: How can I monitor the statement of my Maestro card account through Internet?

Question: I have a checking account but I want my salary to be transferred to my MasterCard. What should I do?
Answer: If you want to receive your salary through your Maestro debit card you should apply for a Maestro card at any of the Bank’s city-branches – checking accounts section. Upon acquiring your Maestro card you should notify your company of the card number where they should transfer your salary on.
Question: May I use my FX MasterCard abroad and where?
Answer: All MasterCard cards of Komercijalna Banka (except for the domestic MasterCard, which may be used only in RM) may be used abroad anywhere where the MasterCard cards are accepted, except in China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Macao. In these countries the cards are blocked, for security reasons, and may be used only at the ATMs of the banks having their head offices outside the blocked countries.
Question: I want to buy a stove, for example, and I would like to know how many repayment installments would I be allowed through your Bank?
Answer: If you have MasterCard Revolving credit card with an approved credit limit to the extent of the amount you want to spend, the monthly repayment would be 10% of the total debt. That means that the number of installments is defined by yourself, but the monthly installments should not be less than 10% of the total debt.

Answer: There is still no possibility for international e-banking payments, and the reason therefor is the complex law regulations that regulate this issue.
However, you can effect such payments by bank transfer from your FX account with Komercijalna Banka. In case you are not holder of FX account with our Bank, we are always ready to open it for you.
These payments are subject to certain documentary control, which in your case means that you should have visa issued for a period of 6 months and more, which regulates your stay in USA.

Question: I would like to know whether I can get a credit card from your Bank if I am not employed? If I can get a credit card, would it be by guarantors or upon a pledge of deposit?
ANSWER: If you are not employed, you can get MasterCard Revolving credit card upon pledge of deposit to the extent of 110% of the required limit.
Your application should also include a photocopy of your ID and passport.
MasterCard Revolving credit card may be used in the country and abroad. Your obligation would be to pay minimum 10% of the amount spend during the month, i.e. to pay the minimum 10% within the period from the 1st until the 12th day the following month. For the transactions made in trade there is an interest-free period of 42 days.
Checking accounts
Question:
If I have an account with another bank and I would like to transfer money from that account to an account with Komercijalna Banka will there be any fee charged and what is the amount thereof?
Answer:
Dear Ms. Bojceva,
Komercijalna Banka can not inform you on your accounts with other banks, since it is not familiar therewith and can not inform you electronically. It is the same regarding the fees for transfer of funds from your accounts with other banks to the accounts with Komercijalna Banka. The fees charged are subject to policy of each bank and therefor you should check with the banks you hold accounts with.
Question: Dear Sir/Madam,
Are there any charges for transfer of money from my account with another bank to an account with Komercijalna Banka?
Answer:
You should check with the other bank if they charge any fees. If we receive money from another bank we consider it as an inflow and we don’t charge any fees therefor.
Question: Can FX funds received from abroad on my denar giro account be paid to me in foreign currency?
Answer: Denar accounts can not be used for money transfer transactions in foreign currency. So, the account stated may not be used for payments in foreign currency. For that purpose you should open an FX account on which you will receive FX inflows in all currencies stated in the exchange rate list of NBRM.
Question: I would like to know how long do you intend to issue checks to your clients under their checking accounts. Would you continue issuing checks under checking accounts after April 2007?
Answer: There is no time limit regarding the issuance of checks under checking accounts to our clients – holders of checking accounts. As long as there are no changes in the law regulations related to this type of payment instrument, after April 2007, the Bank shall continue issuing checks in accordance with the respective criteria.
Question: What is the web site where I can check the statement of my checking account?
Answer: The web site where you can check the statement of your checking account is https://www.kbnet.com.mk . However, you should first apply for Internet access and user name.
Question: What is the largest amount that may be withdrawn from the Bank?
Answer: If you withdraw money as a legal entity, the amount shall be limited only to the funds available on your account. If you withdraw money as an individual client at the Bank’s Head Office in Skopje or any of its city-branches or branches in the country there is no limitation in general. However, if you intend to withdraw larger amount of money during the afternoon shift, you should notify the Bank in the afternoon and you may withdraw the required amount the very next morning. The withdrawal of cash at the Bank’s city-branches in Skopje is limited to MKD 600,000 per individual client.
Question: Should the Bank charge any fee for amounts that are paid in as salary, and especially if it is in foreign currency or more precisely USD?
Answer: If the funds are transferred through the international payment operations they may be treated as salary and to be free of charge. However, in order to treat these funds as salary, you should require from the Applicant to note in the payment instructions that the amount transferred is salary, or you should provide the Bank with a document clearly evidencing that you are employed with the Applicant, your monthly salary, etc.

Question: Is it possible to check the balance on the FX passbooks through Internet banking?
Answer: Balance on the FX passbooks cannot be checked through the Internet banking. This possibility is provided only for the FX accounts.
Loans to citizens

Answer: Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje approves loans only to creditworthy individuals who are employed in companies registered in the Republic of Macedonia and to pensioners who receives their pension on a transaction account with the Bank. The individuals employed abroad may be approved a loan with pledge of non-interest bearing denar or FX deposit. The terms of the loan are as follows: amount of the loan – 95% from the amount of the deposit; repayment term – 120 months and nominal interest rate – 3%. Question: May I apply for a loan, since I work in a private company and I do not have social insurance?
Answer: Dear Sir/Madam,
In order to apply for a loan at Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje, the Borrower has to have full-time employment, which at the same time means that he/she should have social insurance and salary contributions regularly paid. As for the employees of private companies, when applying for loan, they should present documents for employees’ salaries and contributions paid for the last 3 months, verified by the Public Revenue Administration.
Thus, if your full-time employment is not registered, you may not apply for a loan, except for a loan approved on the basis of denar or foreign currency deposit, which is not conditioned with your employment. In that case, your non-interest bearing deposit shall be blocked during the loan validity period, and the loan funds approved shall be 95% of the deposit, with interest rate of 3% and maximum repayment period of 10 years.

Question: What is the interest rate for term denar deposits on 16 months?
Answer: The interest rate for term denar deposits on 36 months is 8,65%.

Question: I would like to know whether I can apply for a housing loan secured by a mortgage if I already have a consumption loan with other bank?
Answer: The credit exposure with other bank, under any type of loan, shall be included in the analyses on the client’s creditworthiness when applying for a housing loan, as well. Through the Credit Register of NBRM, the banks have an access to the information on the credit exposure of the individuals with any of the banks in the country, the number of exposures and the regularity of their repayments. Depending on the amount and term of the housing loan you are interested for, the amount of your debt towards the other bank, the mortgage value you may offer as security and your creditability, or whether the monthly installment would be covered by 1/3 of your free monthly inflow, you may apply for a housing loan. In case your creditability is not sufficient, you may include another two co-borrowers.

Question: I would like to take
a loan. I receive my salary through Komercijalna Banka. What is the
maximum amount of the loan that can be approved for me (my salary
is 21.200,00 denars, without food and transport allowances)? What
are the documents required for application?
Answer: Having in mind the fact that the you have not precised the type of loan you are interested in and where you are employed in, we can not answer precisely. If you receive salary on payment card through the Bank, you can apply for a consumer loan up to 300.000,00 denars with 11,5% annual interest rate and repayment period of maximum 5,5 years. Your monthly installment would be 6.155,00 denars. The loan is with administrative ban without guarantors. The loan application form can be taken at the counters of the lending to Citizens Department in the Bank’s Head Office or printed from the web site of Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje www.kb.com.mk where you can also get more precise information about other types of loans.
The application should be filled in and signed in the part for general data, and to be stamped and signed in the part for salary and administrative ban by the employer.
Question: What are the obligations of the guarantor upon approval of consumption loan?
Answer: The guarantor is an additional security for
the loan approved. The obligation undertaken by filling out the draft
and the draft statement is that in case of non-payment of the regular
matured loan installments to pay the applicant’s debts towards the creditor
– in this case the Bank.
Question: If I apply for consumption loan now, is it going to be approved by the end of the year? I work with the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Stip and receive my salary through Komercijalna Banka?
Answer:If all the necessary conditions for approving consumption loan are fulfilled, the loan shall be approved immediately. You may submit your loan application at the Bank’s Branch in Stip.
Question: Does the Bank approve loans to unemployed citizens and under what conditions?
Answer:The main condition for approving loan to citizens is that the Applicant has full-time employment and regular monthly inflow under salary. In case the client applies for a loan upon pledge of money deposit or bonds, as source of repayment, then the Applicant’s employment is not obligatory.
The loans approved upon pledge of deposit are with a repayment period of 10 years and 3.5% interest rate p.a. The loan amount approved is 95% of the deposit pledged. In case of loans approved upon pledge of bonds, as a source of loan repayment, the loan amount should be secured by 170% of the nominal value of the bonds, with a repayment period equal to the maturity term of the penultimate installment of the bonds. The interest rate is 8.5% p.a. The loan repayment is made in semi-annual or annual installments, depending on the maturity term of the bonds’ installments.
Question: I work at the Ombudsman’s Office in Stip and receive my monthly salary through Komercijalna Banka. I have been approved loan in the amount of MKD 100.000. Is it possible to be approved another loan since the first one was approved in December 2006?
Answer: According to our records, you have been approved loan in the amount of MKD 100.000 with a repayment period of 4 years. Taking into account the extent of your monthly salary, monthly installments under this loan amount in 1/3 of your monthly salary. Thus, there are no free funds of your salary available for new loan. However, there is an option according to which you can extend the repayment period of the disbursed loan from 4 to 5 years and 6 months, which would decrease the monthly installment amount under the existing loan and you will have certain amount of salary funds available for another loan of about MKD 30.000.
Question: I kindly ask you to tell me something about the student loans. I would like to know if I could take a student loan for purposes that are indirectly connected with the studies: payment of rent, buying equipment for studies, transportation costs etc.
If it is possible to be approved a student loan for the above stated purposes, please tell me which conditions should I fulfill.
Answer: The loans approved for studying are loans with specified purposes for payment of scholarship to high schools and faculties.
The extent of the loan: up to EUR 3.500 in denar equivalent.
Interest rate: 9,5% per annum.
Repayment term: up to 36 months
The loan application should be accompanied by an invoice or another document issued by the educational institution.
Borrower is a creditworthy individual with full-time employment who can cover the monthly installment with ? from the non-engaged monthly income and who will present evidence for enrollment in a high school or faculty for himself/herself or for a member of his/her family. Members of close family are spouses, parents and children of the borrower.
The costs that are indirectly connected with the faculty may be covered by a loan without specified purposes under the following conditions:
For employed persons who receive their salaries on payment card/checking account with the Bank:
The extent of the loan: up to MKD 3.000.000,00
Repayment term: up to 66 months
Interest rate: 11,5% per annum.
For retired persons clients of the Bank and persons with full-time employment in companies that are not clients of the Bank or do not receive salaries on card/checking account with the Bank:
The extent of the loan: up to MKD 150.000,00
Repayment term: up to 36 months
Interest rate: 11,5% per annum.
One creditworthy guarantor who shall cover monthly installments with 1/3 of his/her monthly income.

Answer: : Dear Sir,
According to your pension amount you may be approved loan of MKD 100,000.00 for a period of 3 years and monthly repayment instalment of MKD 3,297.00. The interest rate shall be 11.5% p.a., variable. Maximum repayment period shall be 3 years, depending on the age of the Borrower (maximum 70 years of age at the moment of full repayment of the loan). The guarantor required should be employed in a public or shareholding company and to be creditworthy (without any outstanding liabilities under loans approved). The guarantor’s salary should be in the amount of at least MKD 10,000.00, and by the end of loan repayment period the guarantor should be of maximum 64 years of age (men) or 62 years of age (women).
The pension should be received on transaction checking account opened with the Bank.
