22.04.2019 – “Financial Classroom” realized by Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje

In order to help young people more willing to enter the world of personal finances and start building healthy financial habits, Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje initiated the project "Financial Classroom", which is part of the strategy of the Bank for social responsibility. Employees of the Bank have already visited the high schools “Josip Broz Tito” and “Orce Nikolov” in Skopje, where one school class was turned into a "Financial Classroom".

Students of the third and fourth year were presented the basic characteristics of the financial products, their practical application and, of course, the potential risks of their use. The purpose of the “Financial Classroom” is to inform young people how the money flow works, why it is important to have a bank account, what saving mean for their financial independence, why they need to take care of personal finances and have a good credit profile, whether the payment card should treated just as plain plastic and what are the advantages offered by electronic banking.

Guided by the motto that financial literacy is the key to the protection of young people at the moment when they become beneficiaries of financial services, in the course of the year employees of Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje will hold a “Financial Classroom” in another 10 high schools in Skopje. In the second phase of the project implementation, high schools from other cities in the country will also be visited.

The “Financial Classroom” educates young people in order to help them provide a more secure future and better life, since everyone's financial prosperity depends on him/her personally, although many do not believe it.
