Savings of individuals

Saving money is the most prudent decision of each individual or family. In simple words, when we save, the money saved today shall bear return (interest) tomorrow. All we need is to deposit the excess of money, notwithstanding if it is a small or high amount, either in denars or in foreign currency, on a separate savings account with the Bank, for which the Bank shall issue a passbook evidencing all the deposits on and withdrawals from the account. The data on the citizens’ deposits are business secret of the Bank.

The Bank may open passbooks for residents and non-residents at any of its counters, against presentation of identity card or passport. The Bank provides the possibility for withdrawal of the deposit by an authorized person.

The way of saving may be different and it is up to your choice. You can save either in denars or in foreign currency, and the Bank offers different interest rate for each currency. There are several main models of denar and foreign currency savings, as follows:

  • demand savings - the savings deposit is the most flexible one, i.e. the depositing on and withdrawals from the savings account may be performed at any time and they are not connected to certain saving period of time (time deposits);
  • time savings deposits - the savings deposits is connected to certain period of time, that can be of 15 days, 1,2,3,6,9,12,24 months or over, and the longer the deposit period is the higher the interest rate becomes. Depositing and withdrawing are flexible, depending on the type of depositing. The open savings deposits are especially flexible, offering possibility for depositing and withdrawing at any time, without significant change of the interest rate;
  • children savings – it is a special type of savings product intended for children up to the age of 12, created with special care and with the most important purpose of making the children create healthy habit of prudent and responsible saving as from their early childhood, thus increasing the amount of their deposited money. We have prepared special gifts for them.
